About counselling
We live in a world that can feel a bit messy, it’s not surprising that sometimes we don’t feel OK. Whether you’re having a bit of a wobble, feeling completely stuck or just curious. I am here to create a supportive environment, where we explore what is difficult or bothering you. My role as a counsellor is to work with you to help to make sense of life and to explore what may be keeping you stuck in unhelpful ways of relating and identifying patterns of behaviour in a non-judgemental space leading to healthy personal development.
Talking to someone objectively, with no connection to yourself enables you to gain a more positive perspective. I offer an opportunity to speak to someone who has no preconceived notions about you, but who does have the training and expertise to guide you.
Sometimes unpleasant emotions can feel overwhelming, and we push them aside and ignore them as we don’t want to feel them, but they become bigger and more confusing. Anxiety or depression can be a sign that something important needs your time and attention. I provide a space for you to start exploring what’s behind your troubles which can help you gain clarity and allow you to start understanding yourself better and lead to a positive change in your life.
